Continued breastfeeding while introducing foods and food allergens to your baby can be beneficial.

  • The World Health Organization recommends that breastfeeding should continue for up to two years or beyond and here at GrowHappy we are fully supportive of breastfeeding.

  • Breast milk contains a range of “immumodolatory” or immune supporting substances that may help your baby to tolerate food allergens if you are able to introduce food allergens while continuing breast feeding,

  • If you are, however, back at work or were unable to breastfeed, then there are also studies indicating that it is perfectly fine to introduce food allergens after breast feeding has stopped.
